Delhi-NCR To Receive More Showers Today, Check IMD Forecast

Following a fresh spell of rain on Monday, residents of Delhi enjoyed cooler, more pleasant weather. Light to moderate rain is likely to persist in the region until July 18.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continued rainfall activity across large parts of North and Central India this week, with heavy showers expected in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday, July 15. Following a fresh spell of rain on Monday, residents of the national capital enjoyed cooler, more pleasant weather. Light to moderate rain is likely to persist in the region until July 18.

Heavy Rain Alert For UP And Bihar

The IMD has issued heavy rain warnings for several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh for Tuesday.

In Uttar Pradesh, a heavy rain alert has been sounded for 13 districts, including Bahraich, Balrampur, Gonda, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Maharajganj, Varanasi, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Ambedkar Nagar, Prayagraj and Ballia.

In Bihar, heavy rain is likely in the districts of Ara, Patna, Nalanda, Lakhisarai, Jamui, and Aurangabad.

Rain Warnings In Himachal, Uttarakhand

Rain continues to lash the hilly states, prompting a yellow alert for Himachal Pradesh till July 17. Rain is likely in Mandi, Shimla, and Solan districts.

In Uttarakhand, the IMD has issued an orange alert for Dehradun, Bageshwar, and Nainital. Other districts may see light to moderate rainfall during this period.

In Madhya Pradesh, several districts are expected to receive rain on Tuesday. While temperatures may dip slightly below normal, humidity levels are expected to remain high.

The IMD has issued a red alert for parts of Rajasthan, specifically the divisions of Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Jodhpur. These areas could witness heavy to very heavy rainfall.

For July 15, very heavy rain is likely at isolated locations in Konkan and Goa, the Ghat areas of Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Thunder and lightning are also expected in many areas.

In the Northeast, light rain with thunder is forecast to continue for the next 7 days. Heavy rainfall is likely in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura between July 13 and 18.

The IMD has advised citizens in affected areas to stay updated on local weather alerts and take necessary precautions during intense weather conditions.
