A video showing BJP MLA Ganesh Chandra turning into a chauffeur for his driver's wedding in the Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh has gone viral. The heartwarming gesture is making waves on social media.

The viral video shows that the MLA seated the groom, his driver, in the passenger seat and personally drove him to the wedding venue. Those present at the event were left surprised to see the groom seated next to the MLA while he drove the car to the mandap.

Due to simplicity and unique bond with the driver, BJP MLA Ganesh Chandra has come to the spotlight leaving a lasting impression on people and garnering widespread appreciation online.

According to a report by Aaj Tak, MLA Ganesh Chandra Chauhan said, "Vipin Maurya is our driver. Yesterday was his wedding, and after performing the 'Dwar Puja' (traditional wedding ritual), I personally drove his wedding procession to the venue. He is our trusted driver, and my life is in his hands every day. But yesterday, as he was beginning a new chapter in his life, I felt I should take the wheel. So, I drove."

This isn’t the first instance of such a gesture. Two years ago, a similar heartwarming example was set in the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh by Collector Anurag Patel, who was widely praised for his act. On the retirement of his official driver, Imtiazuddin Khan, Patel ensured the farewell was memorable. The District Magistrate personally drove Khan to his home in a car decorated with garlands, with Khan seated in the official's chair.  

To honour Khan, Patel adorned him with a floral garland, presented a memento, and extended his best wishes. The farewell gesture stunned everyone who witnessed it, showcasing the humility and respect Patel held for his long-time driver.
