Two Killed In Chain Collision Between BMTC Bus, Truck & Car On Bengaluru Airport Road Flyover
A BMTC Volvo bus traveling at high speed toward the airport subsequently crashed into the stationary lorry causing it to lurch forward striking the drivers who were standing in front of the vehicle.
Two drivers lost their lives in an accident on Bengaluru’s Airport Road flyover late Monday night, police reported. The incident, which occurred between 11:20 pm and 11:25 pm near Legacy Cirocco apartments in Jakkur, involved a cement lorry, a Toyota Innova, and a BMTC Volvo bus.
According to DCP Traffic Northeast, a cement lorry and a Toyota Innova initially collided on the flyover. Following the impact, both drivers pulled over on the right side of the road to argue leading to a series of events.

DCP Traffic Northeast said, "Two people died in a road accident that occurred on the Airport Road flyover in Bengaluru. A cement lorry collided with a car on the flyover. When the two stopped on the right side to argue, a speeding BMTC Volvo bus hit the lorry. Yelahanka traffic police have registered the case."

In the impact, Kuldeep Kumar, the 42-year-old lorry driver, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Innova driver, Jagadish, aged 40, was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after. Yelahanka traffic police have registered a case, describing the accident as an instance of driver negligence rather than a chain collision.
The Yelahanka traffic police and DCP Traffic Northeast have launched an investigation to establish further details surrounding the tragic accident, according to ANI reports.
