Bandi Sanjay, who was on his way to Mulugu, happened to be passing by the area in the opposite direction and immediately halted his convoy. He organised the rescue efforts, guiding locals and police officers to help free Divyasree. Following his instructions, bystanders managed to cut her hair to release her from the truck safely. The minister ensured she was quickly transported to Life Line Private Hospital in Karimnagar and reportedly pledged to cover her medical expenses.
Meanwhile, Sanjay recently got into a controversy by alleging that KTR was involved in drug use and accused the previous BRS-led government, under former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, of engaging in phone tapping. Last month, Sanjay was detained by police while protesting in support of Telangana Public Service Commission Group 1 aspirants who were calling for a postponement of the main examination.
