This is a Polo based SUV that looks fantastic and would work for India considering its appealing design. Launched in Brazil, the Terra is the smallest Volkswagen SUV and is based on the MQB-A0 platform. The design is easily the best bit with the way the roof flows in along with a Virtus like front with tons of cladding. It also looks like a smaller Tiguan but the overall lines have a sporty look for sure while length wise it is around 4m.

The interior meanwhile has bits similar to the Taigun with the steering wheel design but the other difference is the larger touchscreen. The feature list includes ADAS, ambient lighting and other premium features. Do note that the platform of the Tera is not the same as the MQB A0 IN which underpins the Taigun hence the Tera will not come to India being based on the current Polo which also has not come to India.

However, purely design wise the Tera looks appealing and easily would work here. That said, what we can expect is possibly a sub4m SUV that is Volkswagen's version of the Skoda Kylaq. This could be the smallest Volkswagen in India but won't be like the Tear that you see here although design or even the confirmation hasn't come yet.
Volkswagen will most likely enter the sub4m SUV space but for now will launch more premium products this year first with the likes of the Golf GTI and the new Tiguan R.
