Two Children From UAE Now Own ‘JioHotstar’ Domain, Here’s What Happened

The landing page of the domain shows the siblings greeting visitors and informing them that they have acquired the website from a software developer

The JioHotstar.com has been in the news recently and now the contentious domain belongs to two children based out of the UAE. Jainam and Jivika Jain now own the website. The landing page of the domain shows the siblings greeting visitors and informing them that they have acquired the website from a software developer.

The siblings said that they made the purchase to ‘support a young software developer from Delhi’. The website shows a letter to the visitors that reads, “Even though we're just kids, we believe that age is only a number when it comes to spreading kindness and positivity. Our recent journey began during our summer holidays when we left our home in Dubai for 50 unforgettable days in India. We had a purpose: to connect with children from various backgrounds, share our love for learning, teach skills for studying and setting goals, and inspire them to dream big.”

The siblings further said that they intend to keep the domain available for sale in the future to help out others. “Through sharing our journey here, we aim to inspire others and keep the domain open for future sale to anyone who wants to continue this positive mission,” they added.

In another video on YouTube, Jainam and Jivika revealed that the amount they paid to the software professional for the website was only a small fraction of what he asked for.

The development follows the techie sharing on Friday that he is willing to sell the website to Reliance Industries for one-tenth of the original price he asked of Rs 1 crore.

The app developer has been in the news for requesting Reliance to fund his higher studies in exchange for the rights to the JioHotstar domain.
