This E-commerce Firm Plans To Hire 250 Employees Over Next 6 Months; Check Details Here

Magicpin emphasised that the new hires will be crucial in fueling growth and generating revenue across essential sectors such as fashion, fine dining, beauty, quick-service restaurants and more

Magicpin, a hyper-local e-commerce firm, announced on Tuesday that it plans to recruit over 150 professionals for its sales and acquisition team, along with 100 individuals for the 'ONDC-magicpin Street Bites' initiative. The project, jointly funded by ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce), aims to establish 'ONDC-magicpin Street Bites' teams to support street food vendors, facilitated through a third-party payroll model.

"magicpin to onboard more than 150 professionals in its workforce as a strategic expansion for its sales and acquisition team, reaffirming its commitment to driving growth and expanding its merchant base," the company said in a statement. With the new recruits, the total workforce will surpass 550, not including the additional collaborative workforce of 100 individuals to be hired for the ONDC project.

The company emphasised that the new hires will be crucial in fueling growth and generating revenue across essential sectors such as fashion, fine dining, beauty, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), and budget eateries. Through this hiring effort, magicpin aims to reinforce its foothold in various localities, fortify its collaborations with businesses, and bolster direct revenue channels within the offline sector.

"We are creating a robust locality framework to bring the entire country online in a structured manner. We aim to enhance the online presence of various businesses in the top 60 localities in the country, starting with local establishments such as small and mom & pop stores in the domains of food, fashion apparel, furniture shops, opticians, and even toy stores," said magicpin’s CEO and Co-founder Anshoo Sharma.

The company has established a goal to achieve break-even by the year 2024. Furthermore, magicpin will lead the 'ONDC-magicpin Street Bites' initiative in collaboration with ONDC, which involves recruiting over 100 dedicated personnel within the next 6 months.

"A suitable vendor will be chosen based on their response and adaptability to safety protocol and technology. This project aims to onboard 500 FSSAI-accredited street vendors in Delhi and Lucknow within the next 3-6 months,” the statement said.
