Fisherman's Daughter Bags MBBS Seat In Krishnapatnam

Vineetha has achieved a milestone by successfully clearing the NEET examination and securing admission into an MBBS programme and is all geared up to become a doctor

K Vineetha, a young woman residing at Krishnapatnam port town in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, has emerged as a beacon of inspiration within her community. A daughter of fisherman, Vineetha has achieved a milestone by successfully clearing the NEET examination and securing admission into an MBBS programme and is all geared up to become a doctor. Her accomplishment is especially noteworthy because students from the unprivileged communities like hers, residing in rural areas of India, face and overcome a multitude of challenges.

An alumnus of Adani Vidya Mandir School at Krishnapatnam, Vineetha’s dream began to take shape when the Adani Foundation introduced a revolutionary initiative: offering free online coaching for medical and engineering entrance exams.

G J Rao, CEO and MD of Krishnapatnam Port, Adani Group, said, “Krishnapatnam has been a leader in spearheading these initiatives. Our commitment extends beyond merely providing education to underprivileged communities; we aim to empower them. At the forefront of our endeavors is the Adani Vidya Mandir, where we offer cost-free education and scholarships to support students in their pursuit of higher education. Furthermore, we ensure that students who seek coaching and training to excel in their chosen fields have access to the necessary resources and assistance. Our comprehensive free training programs have been a source of pride, and we are thrilled to announce the expansion of these educational opportunities to encompass up to the 12th grade. This expansion involves the establishment of state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education. In addition to our educational efforts, our initiatives also encompass evening classes, which have proven instrumental in helping students like Vineetha realise their dreams of becoming doctors. The Adani Foundation, in partnership with Krishnapatnam, is fully devoted to promoting education as a cornerstone for students to construct successful careers and achieve their aspirations.”

Anil Balakrishnan, CSR Head, Southern India, Adani Foundation, “During Vineetha's coaching journey, regular parent meetings were scheduled every quarter. These sessions featured the coaching institute's director, located in Krishnapatnam, along with our CSR team. These gatherings were designed to create a nurturing space to uplift the students, evaluate their progress, and offer crucial guidance to aid them in reaching their academic aspirations. With remarkable achievements, Vineetha performed exceptionally well in the entrance examination for the coaching program, marking a significant milestone in her educational voyage.”
