Elon Musk's Starlink Crosses Strategically Important Threshold Mark Of 69,420 Users

SpaceX said in February that it has 10,000 Starlink users, and now the business has reached 69,420, which appears to be a significant milestone.

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur, revealed this weekend that the active number of customers of SpaceX's Starlink satellite Internet service had crossed the "strategically crucial threshold" of 69,420 on Friday night, calling it a positive indication for the company. Musk stated in a separate tweet that all 72 orbital planes will be operational by August of this year, with significant upgrades.

Musk is an active Twitter user, often seen talking and answering questions about Tesla, rockets, and even cryptocurrency. For this news too, he took to Twitter on Saturday evening to say, “Starlink simultaneously active users just exceeded the strategically important threshold of 69,420 last night!”

The figures indicate how quickly the satellite Internet system is evolving. SpaceX said in February that it has 10,000 Starlink users, and now the business has reached 69,420, which appears to be a significant milestone for the company. A large number of individuals began commenting on Musk achievement after he tweeted it.

One of the users responded to the tweet with a question on when aircraft Wi-Fi will be available. “Focusing on 737 and A320, as those serve the biggest number of people, with development testing on Gulfstream,” Musk replied to the user.

Elon Musk said in October 2020 that the Tesla Model S would be available for USD 69,420. SpaceX reported in May 2021 that its Starlink satellite Internet service has acquired more than 5 lakh pre-orders. Musk predicted at the time that demand would increase and that the company would be able to supply all of the needs.

Although it currently offers beta services in 11 countries, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe, Musk claims that his Starlink satellites are more than 60 times closer to Earth than traditional satellites, and his goal is to launch around 42,000 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit by mid-2027.
