Bill Gates has no plans to retire anytime soon. Speaking to CNBC Make It recently, the Microsoft co-founder said that he is not entertaining the idea of retirement at all. Aged 68, the tech billionaire said that he plans to walk down the path followed by legendary investor Warren Buffett who still serves as the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway at 94.

Gates further said that even working less than full-time ‘sounds awful’ to him. He expressed that he would like to continue working for ‘at least 10 years, if my health allows, working at this level’.

He noted that he wishes to continue working for next three decades as he has a lot to accomplish. “Hopefully it’ll be more like 20 or 30... My friend Warren Buffett still comes into the office six days a week. So, I hope my health allows me to be like Warren,” the billionare said.

Talking about his ambition, Gates said, “The [Bill & Melinda Gates] Foundation will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year. We haven’t gotten rid of polio, we haven’t got rid of malaria. I’m very, very committed to those things.”

The billionaire said that he wants to work towards reducing mortality rate in children. “We want to cut childhood deaths in half again, from 5 million to 2.5 million.”

Regarding his work ethic, Gates explained that earlier he used to push himself and his employees really hard and didn't take any breaks. However, he added that he learnt from Buffett to slow down and respect time.
