Skoda India Announces Plans For First Sub-4M Compact SUV

The new SUV would be a sub 4m model and would be the entry level offering while the name would be similar to the current naming structure of including a K and Q like the Kushaq.

Skoda India has announced that it is bringing its new product in 2025 and it will be a new subcompact Suv that would be positioned below the Kushaq.

This would be the most affordable Skoda in India and it is the second time that the carmaker is launching a sub 4m car after it had the Fabia hatchback earlier.

The new SUV would be a sub 4m model and would be the entry level offering while the name would be similar to the current naming structure of including a K and Q like the Kushaq.

Skoda is also targeting a capacity expansion and also more dealerships with this new model. Skoda has not revealed but we expect a high localisation for the new model and it is built on the same platform as the Kushaq and Slavia.

The carmaker will do a poll in terms of naming the car and currently the names include Kwiq, Kymaq, Kylaq, Kariq, and Kyroq. This new sub 4m SUV will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon and the Hyundai Venue along with the Kia Sonet too.

The engine could be a turbo petrol 1.0 which the Kushaq also has while Skoda says that this new SUV will have more features than rivals too.
