Volvo will launch its new XC90 on the 4th of March. This is not the new EX90 electric SUV and instead is the newer version of the XC90 ICE version. The XC90 is a full size SUV rivals the likes of the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Porsche Cayenne. The new XC90 gets a new look with an updated exterior plus interior. The front end is influenced by the EX90 and the look is a bit more sharper.
Elsewhere the grille as well as the bumper plus the alloys are changed too. The interior has the familiar design of the older XC90 but the newer version packs in a larger touchscreen plus the infotainment is all new as well similar to the newer Volvo cars.

Spade would remain the same in the new XC90 though. Powertrain is yet to be revealed and the XC90 here could retain its mild hybrid petrol powertrain as diesel has been stopped in Volvo cars. However, with the current 7 seater version, Volvo could add in a 6 seater as well with individual seats.
These could be more luxurious and have more rear seat features vs the 7 seater with a bench configuration. The new XC90 would be the flagship Volvo in India when launched and we can expect a slight price rise due to the changes. It remains to be seen whether the all electric EX90 will ever come to India which is an all new electric SUV.
