2025 New Porsche Macan Turbo Electric India Review: Fastest EV SUV?
The new Macan being an EV has nothing carried over from the earlier Madan and is based on the PPE architecture while having super fast charging.

Electric cars are fast and that's a given but the Porsche Macan Turbo electric gives a new meaning to that. Porsche has made the new generation Macan all electric while the ICE version continues. However, the new generation Macan is big news for the German luxury brand since the Cayenne and the Macan are huge sellers for them. The new Macan being an EV has nothing carried over from the earlier Madan and is based on the PPE architecture while having super fast charging. The top-end Turbo version that you see here is also the fastest of them all with 639 hp and 1130 nm torque. Claimed range is also an ample 591 km.

Porsche Macan Turbo Electric Exterior Review
Before driving, let's take a look at the car as during our drive it got a lot of attention no doubt partly because of its shape as well as this burnt orange colour. The new Macan is slightly longer and has a more futuristic look plus the Taycan like Matrix LEDS further drive home that point. The wraparound LED lightbar plus those huge alloys makes it a stunner.

Porsche Macan Turbo Electric Interior And Space
Like all Porsches the interior is excellent in quality while being restrained but tasteful. This Turbo version gets a lovely Alcantara wrapped steering which is fantastic to hold while the adaptive sports seats offer high levels of comfort too while not being too soft. The cabin has three screens now including a 10.9 inch passenger touchscreen and a larger 12.6 inch main central touchscreen. The screen itself is slick and the menu is cleanly stacked. Where the car scores is the presence of proper physical controls plus physical volume controller which is a relief. You can customise this car highly but it has everything while some are options.

Our test car had heated/cooled seats, a large glass roof, a lovely all around camera, premium Bose audio system and more. You can pick and choose the leather while experimenting more while here Porsches offers more options than other luxury cars, at a cost. The new Macan has more storage and space is better but the rear seat is still tight- if you want space, the Cayenne is for that. That said, there is a massive 540l boot and an 84 litre frunk which you can open with the key.

Porsche Macan Turbo Electric Drive Experience And Range
You sit low in the Macan and the driving position is very sports car like. On the go, the new Macan Turbo electric is surprisingly comfortable and the ride isn't firm at all while only the sharpest of bumps or speed breakers filter through. Tyre and wise noise is controlled and it is quiet while in normal mode you can easily drive this while ground clearance is plenty along with compact dimensions making it easy to use. You almost have no idea how powerful it is.

The Macan Turbo has dual motors with 639hp and 1130nm with overboost while launch control is too quick as it does 0-100 in 3.3 seconds. That is crazy fast and you are surprised with the way it drives as well as the speed. It also feels like a proper Porsche despite the weight and it is more enjoyable than an SUV in its class for sure. Even the range is not hampered with fast driving and you can do near 500km.

The new Macan Turbo electric is more of a sports car with raised ground clearance and performance is shocking to say the least but more than the speed, the looks, driving experience makes it a proper drivers SUV. Prices have gone up for the new Macan Turbo electric and it is Rs 1.6 cr and piling more options will mean you will pay Rs 2cr, which is very expensive. However, for sheer performance, it matches much more expensive supercars while being practical enough.
