Citroen To Rival Creta With Its 7-Seater C3 Aircross — Check Specifications
The segment that the C3 Aircross will target is the compact SUV segment but the SUV will also have a 5 and a 7-seater layout.
Citroen C3 Aircross: Citroen is gearing up to show its made-for-India SUV on the April 27. This is a crucial product for Citroen in India and it will be an SUV that has been engineered for India and designed for India. Hence, like the C3, the C3 Aircross, as it could be called, would be a compact SUV that is built on the same platform as the C3. Hence, it would be localised heavily in order to meet a possible aggressive price.
The segment that the C3 Aircross will target is the compact SUV segment but the SUV will also have a 5 and a 7-seater layout. The addition of a 7-seater layout will make the C3 Aircross more practical and appealing as well.
Citreon C3 Aircross: Design
To be based on the C3 platform, the C3 Aircross would be above 4 metres in length and will also have a long wheelbase to squeeze in three rows of seats. The design is expected to be similar to the C5 Aircross in terms of having the Citroen grille and sculpted LED DRLs. It will have a tall roofline and will have a large luggage capacity too.
The C3 Aircross will borrow the C5 Aircross in terms of the design and will obviously get more features to rival compact SUVs.
Citreon C3 Aircross: Features
Expect a climate control system, digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity and possibly a sunroof too. Unlike the C5 Aircross, the C3 Aircross would be petrol only and will get a turbo petrol unit which makes upwards of 100bhp. Further on, Citroen is likely to provide manual and automatic options as well, unlike the C3 which is currently only available with a manual gearbox.
While it will be revealed on April 27th, we expect sales to start later during the festive season.
