Know why was Beijing Olympics special for India in many ways

The 2008 Beijing Olympics brought a new achievement for India. Abhinav Bindra won India its first individual Olympic gold medal by winning gold in the 10 m air rifle. After finishing 11th in the Sydney Olympics and seventh in Athens, Abhinav Bindra joined India's shooting contingent for the third time in Beijing.
