Punjab CM announces replacement of curfew with lockdown till May 31

According to Punjab CMO, Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has announced the replacement of the strict curfew with a lockdown till May 31 in the state. He also indicated a resumption of limited public transport and maximum possible relaxations in non-containment zones from May 18. 

With India's total tally rising to 85,940, the world's largest democracy has now surpassed China with a total of 53,035 active cases.
