Parliament Protest: Opposition Demands Amit Shah’s Reply Over Temple, Student Issues
Opposition MPs staged a strong protest at the Parliament complex, raising issues related to alleged temple donation irregularities and police action against protesting students. Leaders of the INDIA bloc gathered at the Makar Dwar of Parliament with banners and posters, demanding answers from the government, particularly from Home Minister Amit Shah. During the demonstration, opposition MPs carried posters questioning the government’s response to the issues and demanded that the Home Minister make a statement inside Parliament. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was among the opposition leaders seen participating in the protest. A symbolic donation box was also placed during the demonstration, where several MPs contributed money, stating that the collected amount would be donated to a temple. The opposition also raised the issue of alleged police action against students protesting over recruitment examination irregularities. Leaders demanded that the Home Minister address the matter in Parliament and provide clarification on the government's response. The protest comes amid continued disruptions during the Monsoon Session, with opposition parties warning that they will continue raising these issues until their demands are addressed. Meanwhile, the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting is also underway, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah, present.
