Old Video Shows Tourists Being Washed Away By Flash Flood At A Waterfall In Philippines
As the tourists enjoy under the waterfall, there is a sudden gush of water that leads to panic among the tourists.
An old video from 2021 has gone viral on social media which shows tourists at a Philippines waterfall being swept away by an unexpected flash flood. The unfortunate incident took place at Tinubdan Falls in Catmon Town in Northern Cebu.
In the video shared by Tansu Yegen on the micro-blogging site Twitter, one can see some tourists enjoying themselves under the waterfall absolutely unaware of what was in store for them. Suddenly there is an incoming gush of water and the tourists panic and begin to look for safer places to escape the force of water.
Since being shared on the micro-blogging site with the caption "Your life is more important than your number of social media likes," the video has amassed close to 2 million views and 22.5k likes.

One of the user on seeing the clip wrote, "That looks like a volume surge coming from a flash flood. I don't think they deliberately put themselves in risk for likes. However, there are seasons when floods/heavy rainfall are more common. Extreme caution is advised in such seasons."
