I Never Tweet Anything Controversial: Elon Musk Jokes With Meme On Losing Job Over Tweets

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is known for his sarcastic, and often controversial tweets, shared an edited image of Twitter's homepage on the microblogging site on Monday.

New Delhi: SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is known for his sarcastic, and sometimes controversial, tweets, shared an edited image of Twitter's homepage on the microblogging site on Monday. Apparently taking a dig at himself for his idiosyncratic tweets, Musk wrote: "Good thing I never tweet anything controversial".

The edited image shared by the billionaire reads: "Get fired from your job in five to ten years", followed by the message, "Join Twitter today."

In the picture, the timeline of events that may occur after joining Twitter has also been mentioned.

The first step after joining Twitter is: "Say anything you want", followed by "Wait 5-10 years".

In the edited image, the following message can be seen adjacent to a 'comment' symbol: "Surprise! You're fired!".

Netizens found the tweet hilarious because Musk has landed in trouble several times for his bizarre tweets. For instance, some of his tweets caused Tesla stocks to fluctuate.

Netizens' Reactions To Musk's Tweet

Musk's recent tweet has been retweeted more than 16,000 times, and has garnered over 1,71,200 likes.

Twitterati also posted hilarious comments in response to Musk's tweet.

In May 2020, Musk had posted that Tesla stock price is too high in his opinion. Quoting the tweet, a Twitter user with the user name Fintwit wrote: "Tesla lost $14 billion in value after this one tweet".

Another user, Matt Wallace, a crypto YouTuber, wrote: "It's ok Elon don't worry you don't need to apply for a job because you are a billionaire".

Another twitter posted: "can't get fired if you're already unemployed".

On August 7, 2018, Musk had posted that he is considering taking Tesla private at $420. He further wrote: "Funding secured."

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigated Musk for the claim, but the case was later settled.

Taking a dig at Musk for this post, a Twitter user quoted his tweet and wrote: "You're right 😏".

Musk posted in the same thread that Tesla will start rolling out its Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta in Canada in the next two to four weeks.
