The manager survived the layoff exercise that led to 50 per cent job cuts at the social networking site on Friday. At a time when others were sharing their farewell messages, Crawford was seen promoting the company’s new product Twitter Blue which mandates the users to pay $7.99 per month for verifications and other exclusive features.
The new Blue isn’t live yet — the sprint to our launch continues but some folks may see us making updates because we are testing and pushing changes in real-time. The Twitter team is legendary. 🫡 New Blue… coming soon! https://t.co/ewTSTjx3t7

Employees have been working for long hours to meet the deadline of pushing out the Twitter Blue verification badge.
Twitter managers were asked to work for 12 hours, as per the CNBC report. Another report in The New York Times said that some managers like Crawford have slept at the office on Friday and Saturday nights.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk acquired the microblogging platform for a $44 billion deal. This came after Musk offered the proposition of buying out the platform in April. This triggered a major policy overhaul along with layoffs. Those who were laid off also included the former Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal.
