Nothing, the consumer tech brand founded by Carl Pei, has officially unveiled its flagship smartphone, the Phone (2), as a successor to the previous year's Phone (1). The Phone (2) introduces several significant updates, including the Glyph Interface located on the rear, which allows users to access essential information at a glance, reducing the need for excessive screen interactions. Additionally, the device features the revamped Nothing OS 2.0 and is powered by the high-end Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Notably, this marks the first premium offering from Nothing that incorporates a dual rear camera setup, boasting an impressive 50MP resolution.

Twitter To Start Paying Creators
Popular creators on Twitter may start getting ad revenue share within a few days. However, it will be applicable to only those paying for the premium Twitter Blue service. Also, interested Twitter Blue subscribers would need a significant number of followers to be eligible for payments.
In the meantime, rival Meta’s microblogging app, Threads, surpassed 100 million users within a span of a few days, and some of them are even Twitter employees. According to an investigation carried out by The Daily Beast, it has come to light that a significant number of Twitter employees, at least 31 individuals, have reportedly registered accounts on Threads, Meta's latest social media platform. The publication conducted a random selection of 133 Twitter employees, basing their choices on LinkedIn profiles, and subsequently cross-referenced this selection with Threads accounts.

Musk Launches xAI Site
Speaking of Twitter, Elon Musk revealed the establishment of an artificial intelligence company called xAI. The primary objective of xAI, as stated by Musk in a tweet, is to "understand the true nature of the universe." The AI startup was officially announced with the launch of its website, which introduced a team of engineers with prior experience at prominent companies like Google (owned by Alphabet), Microsoft, and OpenAI. The website further mentioned that xAI will be hosting a Twitter Spaces event on July 14, offering an opportunity for further engagement and discussion.

Roblox Enters VR
Roblox, the immensely popular online game creation platform, is set to enter the world of virtual reality (VR) through a collaboration with Meta Quest. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, made the announcement on Facebook, which was followed by an official blog post from Roblox. Rival Google, the creator of Bard AI, isn’t enjoying its day under the sun either, as a proposed class action lawsuit was filed against Google, accusing the company of misusing personal information and copyrighted material to train its AI systems. The complaint, initiated by eight individuals aiming to represent millions of internet users and copyright holders, alleges that Google's unauthorised scraping of data from websites violated their privacy and property rights.
