Nothing Phone (2) Launched: India Price, Specifications, More

The Nothing Phone (2) has been launched in a new colour option which is made from 100 per cent recycled aluminium.

Carl Pei's consumer tech brand Nothing on Tuesday launched Phone (2), its flagship smartphone and a successor to last year's Nothing Phone (1). The Nothing Phone (2) brings some notable changes, such as the new Glyph Interface at the back, which aims to let users minimise screen interactions by accessing key information at a glance, revamped Nothing OS 2.0, and top-tier Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, among others. This is the first premium device from Nothing that comes with a 50MP dual rear camera.

Nothing Phone (2) Price, Specs, Colours And More

The Nothing Phone (2) will go on sale from July 21 in India. The device has been launched in a new colour option which is made from 100 per cent recycled aluminium. The Nothing Phone (2) pre-order buyers can purchase starting today until July 20. The open sale of the device is scheduled to start on July 21 at 12 pm on e-commerce site Flipkart and select retail outlets. The newly-launched Nothing Ear (2) Black variant will also be available for pre-order buyers starting tonight. The price of the device starts at Rs 44,999 in India for 8GB/129GB model. Its closest competitor in India is the new Google Pixel 7a and the OnePlus 10T. The other two models are 12GB/256GB variant for Rs 49,999 and 12GB/512GB variant for Rs 54,999.

The Nothing Phone (2) looks pretty identical to the Phone (1) but has a redesigned Glyph interface and more LED lights. The rear side is a bit curved too. The device is powered by a top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC which Nothing claims will offer an 80 per cent increase in overall performance over last year's Phone (1). The Nothing Phone (2) comes with a 6.7-inch OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. The panel has 1600 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+ and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The Nothing Phone (2) comes with a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony sensor with OIS and EIS along with a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, the device has a 32MP front camera. 

The device comes with a 4,700mAh battery that supports 45-watt wired fast charging and 15-watt wireless charging. The Phone (2) ships with Android 13-based Nothing OS 2.0 out-of-the-box. The handset maker has promised three years of Android updates and four years of security updates every two months.
