Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of an American financial services and software as a service (SaaS) company, has caught the attention of some tech enthusiasts due to the predictions that he made back in 2022. It has just been two years, and we are already seeing those predictions turn into reality. The world of technology has grown rapidly, especially after the development of artificial technology. According to him, there is one invisible thread that connects everything in this world, the Application Programming Interface (API), and future will belong to the ones who grasp this concept.
Patrick Collison, the founder and CEO of Stripe, reportedly made three predictions back in 2022 and those predictions are:
- AI will run empires while we sleep
- The next big app will be built by someone who can't code
- Understanding APIs will be as crucial as reading and writing

How Are His Predictions Coming True?
Trading and stock market is something where AI has been implemented heavily. Some top financial companies are relying more on AI nowadays to do the calculations and study the charts of stocks. AI will then take a decision to invest or to disinvest. The reliance on this has increased, which has resulted in less dependence on humans for the same. As per a tech investor and the CEO of Api Days, Baptiste, AI trades $250 billion daily at JPMorgan without the involvement of humans.
Baptiste while proving Collison's second prediction said that No-code apps reach $1 billion in yearly valuations.
While proving the third prediction, he argued that tech skills are a requirement in 90 per cent of jobs.
