Sailing At The 2024 Summer Olympics
Sailing has a long history in the Olympics, dating back to the first modern Games in Athens, Greece, in 1896. Though initially cancelled due to severe weather, sailing has been a staple in the Olympics, with the exception of the 1904 Games and the cancelled 1916 Games.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will feature sailing competitions from July 28 to August 8 at the Marseille Marina.
This year's Olympic sailing events will see a reduction in the number of competitors from 350 to 330, with an equal split between male and female sailors. Several changes have been implemented to enhance gender equality and increase diversity among participating nations. A total of 65 National Olympic Committees will take part in the sailing events, though India is not among them.
