Google One Crosses 100 Million Subscribers Milestone, Sundar Pichai Now Eyes For Same Success With AI Premium Plan

The available plans for Google One at the moment start from $1.99 per month.

The Chief Executive Officer of Google and Alphabet. Sundar Pichai, has recently announced that the company has crossed the milestone of having 100 million subscribers to Google One service which allows additional storage space for free services such as Gmail, Drive, and Photos. The Google One Premium plan comes with 2TB of storage and a number of several other useful features like VPN and dark web monitoring. The new AI premium plan which has just been announced by Google gives users access to the newly launched Gemini and soon it will offer Generative AI features inside Docs and Gmail. 

Pichai tweeted, “We just crossed 100M Google One subscribers! Looking forward to building on that momentum with our new AI Premium Plan (launched yesterday) offering AI features like Gemini Advanced, plus Gemini in Gmail, Docs + more coming soon."

Essentially what Google One provides is expanded storage (beyond the 15GB of storage which Google gives freely), it unlocks exclusive features in Google products and allows the company to build a deeper and stronger relationship with its most engaged users.

Pricing

The available plans for Google One at the moment start from $1.99 per month. If you buy this $1.99 per month plan then you will be getting 100GB of storage shareable with five people and you will also get access to its VPN service in the US.

On top of this, people can start using Gemini Advanced by subscribing to the new Google One AI Premium plan. Notably, the ‘Gemini Ultra’ AI model will be a paid service which will be available when you purchase a new $20 Google One tier (with a two-month-long free trial). It will also include 2TB of storage and access to Gemini in Google Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Slides.
