Homegrown Brand Mivi Forays Into Affordable Smartwatch Segment With Mivi Watch Model E
Homegrown brand Mivi on Thursday forayed into the affordable smartwatch segment in India, which is dominated by the likes of Noise and Fire-Boltt.
Homegrown brand Mivi on Thursday forayed into the affordable smartwatch segment in India, with the launch of the Mivi Watch Model E. According to Counterpoint Research's latest report, domestic brand Noise grabbed the top spot in the India smartwatch market, courtesy of the festive season and affordable models. Counterpoint Research’s Global Smartwatch Model Tracker said India’s market grew 171 per cent YoY to become the biggest smartwatch market for the first time in the world.
The Mivi Watch Model E has been launched in five colourways: Pink, Blue, Red, Grey, Green and Black and the device will be available on e-commerce site Flipkart and the company's own website at an introductory price of Rs 1,299.
Mivi Watch Model E specs and features
The Mivi Watch Model E is a lightweight smartwatch with a 1.69-inch screen. The watch comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 and has a 200mAh lithium polymer battery with a magnetic line for charging. The company claims that the smartwatch charges from 0-100 per cent in 1.5 hours and the battery lasts for 5-7 days and has a standby time of 20 days.

The "Made in India" smartwatch includes pre-installed workout modes such as cycling, jogging, hiking, walking, yoga and others.
The smartwatch comes with IP68 resistance which makes it water-resistant for swimming and sweaty workouts. The smartwatch also comes with a G-sensor that makes it easy to track step count and monitor sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and exercise data record along with menstrual cycle tracking.
The smartwatch comes with silicone straps and a stainless steel dial for durability. The smartwatch can be synced with both Android and iOS devices. Other features of the Mivi Watch Model E include music control, customisable watch faces, message push, daily alarm clock, photo control, and weather information. The smartwatch supports 28 languages.
