Aadhaar Card Can Be Verified Online To Avoid Fraud, Know How

Aadhaar Card Online Verification: Today Aadhar Card has become necessary for every Indian. Aadhar card is also sought for availing many government and non-government facilities and services. Meanwhile, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) warned that not all 12-digit numbers are Aadhaar. UIDAI has issued a warning against frauds that ask for verification before accepting the Aadhaar card as identity proof.

Aadhaar has emerged as one of the most important documents for availing public schemes. Everything from taxes to vaccines is related to this one identity proof. Meanwhile, the statutory authority has said that Aadhaar card verification can be done online in simple steps by directly logging on to the UIDAI link resident.uidai.gov.in/verify

UIDAI tweeted, 'All 12 digit numbers are not Aadhaar. It is recommended that Aadhaar should be verified before accepting it as identity proof.'

How to verify Aadhar card online-

- 1) First of all log on to the direct link Resident.uidai.gov.in/verify
- 2) Enter the 12 digit number
- 3) Enter the security code or captcha
- 4) Click on 'Proceed to Verify' option
- The authenticity of the 12 digit number will appear on your screen.
