With 9,545 Infections & 23 Fatalities, Delhi Reports Highest Dengue Cases & Deaths In 6 Years

Delhi Dengue Cases: Delhi's dengue figures for the year have come to be a cause of worry. In 2021, the national capital reported the highest number of dengue cases and deaths in the last 6 years.
Delhi registered 9,545 dengue cases this year. A total of 23 deaths were also caused by the infection this year.

According to the official data, Delhi has reported 1,269 cases in December so far. Earlier in November, 6,739 dengue cases were registered. Delhi has received a higher number of dengue cases this year in November as compared to last year when the dengue cases were 1,072. In 2019, the number was 2,036.
Delhi had earlier recorded the highest number of cases in 2015 when the number of dengue cases reached 16,000. The total number of dengue cases in Delhi this year is about 9,500. Looking at the data of dengue infections in the national capital in the last five years: There were 4,431 patients and 10 deaths in 2016, 4,726 patients and 10 deaths in 2017, 2,798 patients and 4 deaths in 2017, 2,798 patients and 4 deaths in 2018, 2,036 patients and two deaths in 2019. The same figures were reduced to 1,072 in 2020 and only one death.
