'Dadagiri Karoge Kya': Video Of Face-Off Between Cops And BJP's Balmukund Acharya Goes Viral
The video captures the monk-turned-politician engaging in a heated exchange with a senior police officer at a police station in the state.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged victorious in the Rajasthan Assembly elections, securing impressive 115 seat-win. This success follows the longstanding "revolving door trend" in the state, where the incumbent party has not returned to power in the last three decades.
In the aftermath of the BJP's triumph, MLA Balmukund Acharya, representing the Hawa Mahal seat in Jaipur, took swift action by ordering the closure of all non-vegetarian food stalls on the streets in the area.
Acharya, who recently made headlines for his campaign against "illegal" roadside non-veg food stalls, is once again in the spotlight due to a viral video. The video captures the saffron-clad monk-turned-politician engaging in a heated exchange with a senior police officer at a police station in the state.

In the undated video, Balmukund Acharya and his supporters are seen embroiled in an argument with the police officer. ABP Live could not verify the veracity of the video. This incident follows Balmukund Acharya's previous initiative against "illegal" non-veg food stalls in his constituency, where he ordered the shutdown of such establishments.
The newly-elected MLA was seen calling a police officer and ordering him to shut down all non-veg food stalls in the area in a video that went viral on the internet.
"Can non-vegetarian food be sold openly on the road? Yes or no to my question. So you agree with me. All non-vegetable roadside stalls should be closed down immediately. In the evening, I will collect the report from you. I don't care who the officer is," the MLA is heard saying to the cop.
In another video, men wielding Gadas (maces) and accompanied by the BJP MLA were seen threatening non-veg eateries while Acharya was having another heated exchange with police officers.
The newly-elected BJP MLA won Rajasthan's Hawa Mahal Assembly seat by a margin of 600 votes, defeating Congress's RR Tiwari.
