Nagpur: Miffed At Being Stared While Smoking, Woman Calls Friends To Kill Man. All Arrested
A woman in Nagpur killed a man who was allegedly staring at her as she was smoking a cigarette.
A 28-year-old woman along with two of her friends were arrested for killing a man who was allegedly staring at her while she was smoking a cigarette.
According to a report by The Times of India, the matter took an ugly turn when the accused woman named Jayashree Pandhare caught the victim, Ranjit Rathod, allegedly staring at her while she was smoking a cigarette. The incident occurred at a pan shop on Manewada Cement Road in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
During the argument, Rathod started to record a video on his cellphone of Pandhare blowing smoke circles towards him and verbally abusing him. Rathod retaliated and exchanged abuses.
Soon the woman called her friends Akash Raut and Jeetu Jadhav to confront Rathod, who had left for home after their argument.
However, the three soon approached Rathod. The situation quickly escalated, and Rathod was fatally stabbed, the whole scene was captured on CCTV and Pandhare was seen stabbing Rathod, as per TOI.

After the crime, the assailants fled to Dattawadi before moving to Mohopa at Kalmeshwar. Pandhare, Sayare, and Raut were captured during the search, senior inspector Kailash Deshmane said, as per TOI.
Apart from the footage in Rathod's phone and the CCTV, a retired government employee also witnessed the murder.
However, the paan shop owner, Laxman Tawde, told the police that he closed his shop and left for home after the woman summoned her friend.
As the police were searching in Dattawadi, the police found several objectionable materials, including photographs of drugs on the phone of an accused.
According to PTI, based on the CCTV footage from the area, the police arrested the trio under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
