We are still in this match: Broad

We are still in this match: Broad Visakhapatnam: England fast bowler Stuart Broad lauded his team's efforts against India on the penultimate day of the second cricket Test saying that they were still in the match. India struck late to reduce England to 87/2 in their 405-run chase by close of the day's play at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. Openers Hasseb Hameed (25) and skipper Alastair Cook (54) were the batsman to be dismissed. Cook's dismissal ended the day's action. Joe Root was unbeaten on 5 at stumps. India's Ravichandran Ashwin claimed Hameed's wicket (1/28) while Ravindra Jadeja (1/25) accounted for Cook. "We played with a lot of skill and a lot of fight this evening. Both openers showed great temperament. We would have taken two down at stumps going in. Fantastic day for us. We have shown a lot of skill apart from a disappointing hour on day two," Broad said after the match. "We are still in this Test match. It will be great to sit and chat with those who batted this afternoon and take that into the next day," he added. The 30-year-old pacer also spoke about his injury which he suffered on Saturday. He has strained a tendon of his left foot which will probably rule him out for the third match at Mohali. "The foot is sore but I have got to play a Test, haven't I? As a fast bowler you have got to have niggles. It just makes it worse that it is on the sole, being a fast bowler," he said.
