Fans React To Sanju Samson Being Ignored For India's T20 World Cup Squad

Some furious Sanju Samson fans vented out their anger on Twitter after the Kerala batter was ignored for India's T20 World Cup squad.

New Delhi: Young wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson, who has played T20 International cricket for team India recently, hasn't been named in India's 15-member squad for T20 World Cup 2022, set to be played from October 16 to November 13. Sadly, the talented batter did not find a spot in India's T20 World Cup team, and Indian squads announced for T20 series against South Africa and Australia. The last time Samson played an ODI series was against Zimbabwe and his last T20I series was against Windies. Earlier this year, Samson scored the highest score in the T20I series against Ireland. Samson was ignored from India’s Asia Cup squad as well.

Rishabh Pant hasn't been able to perform up to the mark in his recent games for India. It was being assumed that Pant's dry run might help Samson get picked in India's T20 World Cup squad alongside Dinesh Karthik but this did not happen. Meanwhile, some furious Sanju Samson fans vented out their anger on Twitter.

India squad for ICC T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.

Standby players – Mohd. Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar.
