Pakistan Issues Visas To Indian Davis Cup Team

Pakistan High Commission has granted visa to Indian players for the Davis Cup. Here are the details.

Davis Cup: The Indian team for Davis Cup has been granted visa to Pakistan by the Pakistan High Commission for the upcoming Davis Cup group fixtures against the hosts as the tennis world awaits a mouth-watering clash between the arch rivals. The matches are reportedly scheduled in the first week of February and will take place in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad.

 

India's Preparation For Davis Cup 

The Indian tennis team have been preparing in Delhi as they gear up for all crucial clash against Pakistan in the month of February. However, players have vented out their frustation as some of the teammates have faced visa issues.

“If an injury happens to any player, we will be one-man short. We need Prajwal in the team. We are sending his papers again to the High Commission. We are waiting and watching. They have rejected his visa without any reason; this is really disappointing,” said Rajpal, captain of Team India.

However, the captain of the side, Rajpal, has faced some personal issues an will therefore stay back and the join the camp in a few days time.

“It’s my mother who gave me the first lesson of patriotism. Even today she told me that I should go with the team but I have to make sure that she is okay before I finally take the flight for Islamabad,” Rajpal stated in concern with his absence.
