West Indies' T20 World Cup Winning Batsman Marlon Samuels Retires From All Forms Of Cricket

Marlon Samuels was in tremendous form in the 2012 T20 World Cup final. He scored a blistering 78 off just 56 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes. Apart from this, in the 2016 T20 World Cup final, he scored a heroic unbeaten 85 off just 66 balls.

The legendary batsman of the West Indies cricket team, Marlon Samuels, has retired from all forms of cricket. Samuels played his last match for West Indies against Bangladesh in 2018. Windies have won the T20 World Cup twice and Marlon Samuels scored the most runs in both of those final matches for his national team. However, he has now decided to retire from professional cricket.

According to an ESPN Cricinfo report, Marlon Samuels told Cricket West Indies about his retirement in June this year. The report revealed that Samuels informed Johnny Grave, Chief Executive of Cricket West Indies, about his decision.

The 39-year-old also had very bad things to say about Stokes colour and his wife. He was then criticized by Aussie legend Shane Warne. Warne tweeted that Marlon Samuels is an 'ordinary cricketer and an ordinary man'.
