Women's T20 Challenge: Two-Time Champions Supernovas Take On Last Year's Runners-Up Velocity

Superovas vs Velocity, Women's T20: L 2020 has now reached the stage of playoff. Along with this, the Women's T20 Challenge is also starting from November 4. Supernovas will face Velocity in the first match.

Apart from the best players of Indian women's cricket, players from England, South Africa and West Indies will show their skills in the third Women's T20 Challenge starting on Wednesday. The tournament will consist of four matches in which three teams will participate: the defending champion Supernovas, last year's runners-up Velocity and Trailblaizers.

These three teams will face each other after which the final will be held on November 9. Players from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and New Zealand are also participating in the tournament.

IPL 2020 has now reached the stage of playoff. Along with this, the Women's T20 Challenge is also starting from November 4. Supernovas will face Velocity in the first match. In this match, the current captain of the Indian team, Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Supernova, on the other hand, former veteran captain Mithali Raj will be in command of Velocity. The match between the two teams will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Supernovas has won both the women's T20 Challenge tournaments so far. The team's morale is going to be high this season as well.

Supernovas' batting will be on the shoulders of Jemima Rodrigues, Chamari Attapattu and captain Harmanpreet, Poonam Yadav, while Radha Yadav will lead the bowling attack of the team.

Velocity will be skippered by veteran player Mithali Raj. In batting, young batsman Shaifali Verma will be seen with England opener Danny Wyatt showing her poise. Velocity has experienced options in bowling with the likes of Shikha Pandey, Ekta Bisht and Jahanara Alam.

The BCCI started this tournament in 2018. In the first tournament, only one match was played in Mumbai. Then the Supernovas led by Harmanpreet Kaur defeated the Trailblazers by three wickets. All matches will be played in Sharjah. The first match will be played from 7:30 in the evening.
