Virat Kohli Creates World Record In RCB vs RR IPL 2025 Clash

Batting legend Virat Kohli has been one of the most consistent performers in IPL 2025 season.

Virat Kohli, the former captain and opener for Royal Challengers Bangalore, reached a remarkable milestone in Match 42 of IPL 2025 against Rajasthan Royals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

With just 14 runs in the match, Kohli became the first player in the world to score 3500 T20 runs at a single venue, setting a unique world record in the process.

A milestone at Home

Known for his dominance at the Chinnaswamy, Virat Kohli's latest feat shows his consistency and longevity in the shortest format. No other batter has ever managed to cross the 3500-run mark at one ground in T20 cricket.

Players with Most T20 Runs at a Single Venue:

Virat Kohli – 3500* (M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru)

Mushfiqur Rahim – 3373 (Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur)

James Vince – 3253 (The Rose Bowl, Southampton)

Alex Hales – 3241 (Trent Bridge, Nottingham)

Tamim Iqbal – 3238 (Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur)

Virat Kohli's red-hot form in IPL 2025

Batting legend Virat Kohli has been one of the most consistent performers this season. He began IPL 2025 with an unbeaten 59 against KKR, followed by knocks of 31 and 7. He bounced back with 67 against Mumbai Indians, then scored 22 vs Delhi Capitals, and smashed 70 in the away match against Rajasthan Royals.

Though he was dismissed for 1 in one game against Punjab Kings, he returned with a match-winning 73* in the reverse fixture.

In tonight's IPL clash against Rajasthan, Kohli showcased another masterclass at his favorite hunting ground, scoring a 42-ball 70.

Kohli's blazing knock, combined with a quickfire 27-ball half-century from Devdutt Padikkal, powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to a formidable total of 205 runs in their 20 overs against Rajasthan Royals. After being put in to bat first, RCB's top-order rose to the occasion, setting the stage for a strong challenge with the bat.
