This comes after Sanjiv Goenka was seen in a candid moment seemingly lambasting KL Rahul following a devastating loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match, in Hyderabad.

LSG's Assistant Coach Downplays Rahul-Goenka Situation

Following the controversial incident, there were also rumors suggesting that KL Rahul might step down from LSG’s captaincy for the remaining matches of the IPL 2024. However, LSG’s assistant coach Lance Klusener clarified on Tuesday that there haven't been any talks about Rahul's future, emphasizing that the conversation between Goenka and the team’s captain was merely a passionate exchange between cricket enthusiasts. He downplayed any concerns, stating that such discussions are normal and beneficial for team improvement. 

"I don't see any problem with some robust discussion between two cricket lovers. So for us, I guess it's just a storm in a teacup. We love a robust discussion. I think that's how teams get better. So, it's not a big thing for us," he said at the pre-match press conference ahead of the Delhi Capitals vs Lucknow Super Giants IPL match on Tuesday.
