Today, Gujarat Titans take on Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. A win for Gujarat would bring them closer to securing a playoff berth. Gujarat and Rajasthan have faced each other 7 times in IPL, with Gujarat winning 6 of those encounters. Their most recent meeting this season saw Gujarat crush RR with a 58-run win.

Currently, Gujarat Titans are in second place on the points table with 12 points from 8 matches (6 wins, 2 losses) and a solid net run rate of +1.104. With their strong form, they are well-positioned for a playoff spot.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have had a disappointing campaign. Out of their 9 matches, they have won just 2 and lost 7. With only 4 points and a net run rate of -0.625, they sit at 9th place in the standings, making their playoff qualification highly unlikely.

RR vs GT Toss Update

Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and have opted to field.

What captains said...

RR skipper Riyan Parag: We'll bowl first. Pretty similar wicket to the one we played against LSG. Should be a good wicket, some low bounce, saw some dew last night so bowling first. Everyone in our team has gone through situations like this and they know how to get out of it. We've had honest talks. Just have to put a game together collectively and hope for a good result. We've played 35 overs of good cricket in the last three games. That's how cruel the IPL is. Two changes: Farooqi goes out, Theekshana comes in. Tushar goes out.

GT captain Shubman Gill: Would've bowled first as well. But it looks like a good wicket. Some grass on the wicket, always nice to see that. We are looking to take each game as it is, not looking at the past.
