RCB vs PBKS: Who Wins If IPL Final Is Washed Out? Here's The Rule
RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 Final match may be disrupted as the weather forecast predicts rain on the day of the final.

The grand finale of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) is scheduled for June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
However, this high-octane encounter may be disrupted as the weather forecast predicts rain on the day of the final.
Ahmedabad Weather on June 3
There is approximately a 62% chance of rainfall in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (June 3). The temperature is expected to range between 27°C and 33°C, with winds blowing at 16 km/h and humidity at around 45%. While continuous rain is unlikely, sudden showers could interrupt play.
Reserve Day for the Final
Like past years, this year too, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allotted a reserve day for the IPL final. On June 3, if rain causes match to stop, a two-hour extension window has been provided to ensure the match can be completed. For the match to have a result, a minimum of five overs per side must be played. Still if there's no result on day 1, reserve day (June 3) will come into effect.
Who Wins If the Final Is Abandoned?
If the rain does not allow the match to take place both June 3 and June 4 (reserve day) and the final is washed out, the winner will be determined based on league stage standings.
In that case, Punjab Kings, led by Shreyas Iyer, will be declared champions as they finished at the top of the points table. RCB, under the leadership of Rajat Patidar, ended the league stage in second place.

A Historic Moment Awaits
Both teams are yet to win an IPL title. If the match proceeds, a new champion will be crowned. But if rain has the final say, it will be Punjab Kings who end their title drought.
