'This Is The Best Fanbase': Dinesh Karthik's Special Message For Fans Post RCB's IPL 2022 Exit

Dinesh Karthik shared his experience of representing RCB in IPL 2022. The wicketkeeper-batsman also thanked fans for their support on social media.

New Delhi: Veteran wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik, who was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) this season, has played for many franchises in his IPL career. In the IPL 2022 mega auction, Dinesh Karthik was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 5.50 crore. RCB had reposed faith in Dinesh Karthik by competing against Chennai Super Kings in the auction. Karthik too on his part didn't disappoint RCB as he played some crucial match-winning knocks. However, in IPL 2022 Qualifier 2, the in-form senior batter was dismissed for 6 runs in 7 balls. After losing to Rajasthan Royals, RCB's hopes of winning the first IPL title have ended.

Dinesh Karthik shared his experience of representing RCB in IPL after a crushing 7-wicket loss against Rajasthan. The wicketkeeper-batsman said RCB's fanbase was the best that he has been a part of in the IPL.

"I have been part of many teams but this is the best fanbase I have ever been part of because the cheers that I have gotten in the ground, I have never gotten anywhere else. I am really thankful, without fans like you, people like me at this age would not be pushing myself to try and achieve what I am trying to achieve," said Karthik on a video posted by RCB’s Youtube channel.

Karthik also thanked fans for their support on social media.

"Thank you so much, you guys mean a lot in my life because it is one thing playing the IPL but when you are able to put a smile on people's faces, that is the real reason why you play sport. I am really happy, I am really grateful that I have found this franchise and this fanbase who have literally accepted me with open arms,” said Karthik.

"I am blessed in many ways to achieve what we did as a team, but most importantly, the fans who have come on my social media feed, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, all these places and the way they talk about me, I do read a little bit here and there. The engagement they give, so much positivity.

“The engagement they give, so much positivity, that is where I feel I have let you all down little bitt his year but we will try really hard next season," concluded Karthik.
