New Delhi: Indian cricket team's star fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah has made a tremendous comeback in the India vs England 1st Test of the five-match series against England. India's leading speedster has been battling poor form for some time now and was constantly under the scanner of critics for not getting wickets.
In the Ind vs Eng 1st Test, played at Nottingham's Trent Bridge ground, Bumrah bagged a total of nine wickets and also scored valuable runs in tense situations during the match. He took four wickets in the first innings and then five wickets in the second innings against England. With the bat, the tailender played a crucial knock of 28 runs during India's first innings, on the back of which India took a good lead against England.

The last day of the India vs England Nottingham Test was washed out due to rain, after which the match resulted in a draw. By the fourth day of the Test, India had strengthened its grip on the match. England won the toss and elected to bat first, but the hosts were reduced to just 183 runs in their first innings.

In the first innings, Bumrah dismissed Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Stuart Broad and James Anderson. In reply, India scored 278 runs and took a vital lead of 95 runs. Bumrah scored 28 runs off 34 balls, which included three fours and a six. England, batting better in the second innings, scored 303 runs and set a target of 209 runs for India to win.
In the second innings, Bumrah bagged the wickets of Dom Sibley, Zack Crawley, Joe Root, Sam Curran and Stuart Broad. By the end of the fourth day's play, India were 52/1 and needed 157 runs to win. The visitors were in the driving position, but rain did not allow a single ball to be bowled on the last day and the match was declared a draw.
