If invited, will attend Imran Khan's swearing-in ceremony: Kapil Dev

New Delhi [India], August 2 (ANI): Former Indian skipper Kapil Dev has said that he would attend the swearing-in ceremony of Pakistan Prime Minister-in-waiting Imran Khan with the approval of the Indian government, if invited.

"I haven't checked yet about the invitation, but if I will get the invite then I will surely go there (Pakistan) for the oath ceremony, with government approval," Kapil Dev told ANI.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has also invited former Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and actor Aamir Khan.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has confirmed having received a personal invite from the cricketer-turned-politician.

"It is a huge honour for me. It is a personal invitation from him and not a political one," Sidhu said.

According to figures provided by the Election Commission of Pakistan, the PTI emerged as the single largest party with 116 seats after the ECP released the complete preliminary results for 270 of 272 National Assembly constituencies. (ANI)
