Doha Diamond League: Neeraj Chopra Wins Men's Javelin Throw Event
Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Jakub Vadlejch concluded at the 2nd spot with a best throw of 88.63m while world Champion Anderson Peters finished third with a best throw of 85.88m.
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra started his 2023 season by winning the 10-man men's javelin field at the Doha Diamond League on Friday. Neeraj was the first Indian who won the Diamond Trophy last year and kickstarted the tournament this year by registering a throw of 88.67m.

The first throw of Neeraj was his best throw of the tournament as he continued the tradition. Neeraj did not pass the 90m landmark and could not set a new personal best (89.94m) as the conditions at the iconic stadium were not favorable for big throws.
