Rohit Sharma scripted history during India's World Cup clash against Sri Lanka at Leeds as he became the first ever batsman in World Cup history to score 5 tons in single edition of the showpiece event.
The Indian opener went past the record held by Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakarra, who scored four successive tons in the 2015 World Cup.
Rohit is also India's second highest century maker at the Cricket World Cup. With five tons to his name, he is only behind Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar who has six World Cup centuries for India.

Sharma is also India's highest six hitter in the iCC World Cup 2019 with 14 hits over the fence. Rohit earlier became only the third batsman in World Cup history to score 600 plus runs in a single edition of the tournament.
