WATCH: The Bumrah-Dhoni combination that won India the match
The Green Park crowd held its breath in anticipation of Latham’s wicket. They had reasons to be optimistic – none other than Dhoni had signaled for DRS right after Bumrah’s pin point Yorker thudded into Latham’s pads. What the crowd did not realize was that the call for DRS was more in hope than an actual demand for a wicket, perhaps even to buy time for India who was defending 26 off 14 deliveries.

The ball had pitched way outside the line but the review had just allowed the Indians to regroup, gave Bumrah the chance to catch his breath. The rejuvenated Bumrah then came up with an even more lethal yorker to Grandhomme, that narrowly missed the stumps but resulted in Latham’s wicket through a run out.
Having got only 3 runs off the Bumrah over, Latham wanted to get the strike back and so he set off to sneak in a bye. Grandhomme’s trigger movement did not help Latham’s cause. Dhoni showed incredible match awareness behind the stumps with a swift return to Bumrah. The Indian quick then showed exactly how accurate he is when the ball is in his hands by knocking down the stumps even before Latham could be seen in that frame.
