Watch: Shreyas Iyer Sledges Australia's Travis Head During Ind Vs Aus Third Test

Travis Head starred with the bat after as he completely outplayed the Indian spinners, smashing a four and a six off Ashwin, and then followed it up with a boundary against Jadeja.

Australia unleashed fire on Day 3 in the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Indore as they reached a total of 76 runs in less than 19 overs. Travis Head starred with the bat after as he completely outplayed the Indian spinners, smashing a four and a six off Ashwin, and then followed it up with a boundary against Jadeja.

However, Ashwin’s initial few overs were fantastic as Kangaroos' batters were clueless facing him. Meanwhile, a serious sledging took place when Head was finding it tough to read the deliveries, India’s batter Shreyas Iyer tried to sledge the Aussie left-hander by commenting, "Ek pair Chandigarh mein, ek Haryana mein (One foot is in Chandigarh, one is in Haryana)”.

Chasing 76 for their maiden win in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australia lost only a wicket before sealing a memorable win under stand-in skipper Steven Smith's captaincy. By virtue of this win, the visitors also qualified for WTC Final. Notably, this was the third Test match in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy which finished in just three days.

"What can I say about that, people have to play well for the Test match to last for five days. Games are not lasting for five days even outside India, yesterday in South Africa the game got over within three days and Australia also in the first Test match," Rohit said at the post-match conference.

"It's about the skills, if the pitches are helping the bowlers so the batsmen have to try and test their skills. It is not about making sure that we are sure that if we are playing on flat pitches and the results are not coming. In Pakistan as well in the three-match series, the people said the Test matches to be so boring. Hence, we are making it interesting for you people," he added.

India lead the four-match Test series 2-1 and are yet to qualify for World Test Championship (WTC). The fourth and final Test of India vs Australia Test series will be played in Ahmedabad. For India to make it to the WTC final, they need to defeat Australia in Ahmedabad Test.
