WATCH: Sanath Jayasuriya in action with his son in nets

Sanath Jayasuriya, the former cricket captain of Sri Lanka, is undoubtedly one of the greatest batsmen to have played the gentlemen’s game. His contribution in changing the face of Lanka cricket is commendable. He has been a part of several historic events including the 1996 World Cup victory.

After scoring over 20,000 runs and picking 440 wickets in international, the legendary cricketer retired in 2011. But still, he keeps himself connected to cricketing activities. A few months ago, he was seen practising some shots during a net session. And recently, he has been spotted training his little son.

A video shared on his official Facebook page, Jayasuriya could be seen bowling to his son in nets and the right-hand little cricketer played them perfectly.

The way Jayasuriya Jr dealt with the ball, it seems he the Sri Lanka team will get the legendary touch soon in the near future.

The Sri Lankan cricket team recently exhibited one of their best performances in Test cricket after whitewashing South Africa 2-0. However, they are yet to get back on the track in the white ball cricket.

Currently, they are placed at the 8th position in the ICC ODI rankings.
