WATCH: Rishabh Pant calls his Test selection 'a dream come true'
.
Days after getting inducted into the Indian squad for the forthcoming England Tests, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has termed his selection a “dream come true”.
In conversation with BCCI, Pant stated that he always wished to get featured in the Indian Test side.
“It was an amazing feeling, not only for me but also for my family and my coach Tarek Sinha, who helped me understand the game very early in life. He has always wanted me to play Test cricket for India and when I got the call, he was very proud, and I enjoyed that moment."

Speaking about the difference in the conditions in England, Pant said, "I reckon there isn't too much difference, but it has got more to do with shot selection. I have so far enjoyed my preparation with red ball cricket. The Duke ball swings a lot when you're here in England."
During the conversation, Pant acknowledged the contribution of Rahul Dravid in his career.
“How I needed to work harder on my game when it comes to red ball cricket, since I'm a positive batsman, but at times you need to play to the situation. See the pace of the game and change your game accordingly. He has helped me a lot,” said Pant.
The 20-year-old cricketer also credited MS Dhoni for his support.
"Whenever I come to the Indian dressing room, I sense a positivity. People back each other. And as always, whenever I need any support from Mahi bhai, I always ask him. When I discuss about wicketkeeping he suggests that hands and head are important, doesn't matter where your body goes. I have worked on it and that helped me a lot."
His selection came after his magnificent performance in India ‘A’ tour of England including a half-century against England Lions in their most recent encounter.
A year ago, he sealed a spot in the Indian dressing room following his terrific stint with the bat in the 2017/18 Ranji Trophy. He was named Delhi’s captain and smashed over 900 runs in the season.
