WATCH: KL Rahul's another poor dismissal which left Twitterati fuming
For the fourth time in the series, Rahul scripted his dismissal in this manner which left the Twitterati fuming.
India may have dominated the Aussies throughout the 4-match Test series Down Under but they are yet to solve one big mystery, i.e., ‘How to bring back KL Rahul’s form?’ Despite missing the Boxing Day Test due to his dismal performance, captain Kohli showed faith and gave him another chance to prove himself in the opening slot.
But unfortunately, the ‘High Hopes’ of the Indian team management shattered much faster than the time they would have taken to gamble, yet again, on Rahul.
He definitely tried to give a brilliant start to the innings after India won the toss and opted to bat first. He stuck two boundaries right in the first 7 balls of the match but soon, he committed the same mistake which made him pay the price in Melbourne.
Moreover, he repeated the same process to return to the dressing room too early – a fuller delivery which was much away from the off stump and Rahul edges it to the slip cordon. He could have let that go, but he chases that with hard hands after a stride forward and gets a fat outside edge that goes straight into the hands of Marsh at first slip.
Here’s the video:
