Watch: David Warner Shocks Everyone, Bats With His Right Hand Against Ravichandran Ashwin

When he came out to bat, he batted with his left hand but then in the 13th over of the game, he decided to take a right-hander's stance.

David Warner is one of the most highly-rated openers Australia has ever produced. Warner is currently taking part in the three-match ODI series against India. While playing in the second ODI, Warner did something that grabbed viewers' attention. Australia's opener started batting right-handed against India’s veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

When he came out to bat, he batted with his left hand but then in the 13th over of the game, he decided to take a right-hander's stance. Warner played the first ball for a single and then played a brilliant sweep that raced towards the fine-leg boundary. Fans were stunned to see Warner’s right-hand batting.

Australia were asked to chase down a revised total of 317 runs in 33 overs after rain affected the game. Warner batted well and smashed 53 runs. Ever since Warner departed, Australian batters could not manage to stay long as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals at the Holkar stadium in Indore.

Talking about the game, the Men in Blue outplayed Australia by 99 runs in the second ODI, clinching the three-game series 2-0.  Earlier, India batted first where Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer scored brilliant hundreds. Skipper KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav also batted well and collected their half-centuries to help India put 399-5 in 50 overs.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja starred with the ball as both went on to scalp three wickets each. Other wicket-takers were Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Shami who picked up two and a wicket respectively.

Post winning the game, Indian skipper KL Rahul said, “When I saw the wicket in the morning, I didn't think it would spin so much. Putting 400 on the board gives you confidence. It's not really our decision to make. Our jobs are clear. Everyone who gets picked in the XI, needs to focus on their job. Everyone has gone through this, you need to keep getting better and wait for the opportunities.”
